With Mars and Saturn working together in Cancer, protection of family and loved ones becomes a high priority. Those who are too stern or unyielding have an opportunity to look more closely at the consequences of their actions, and those who would bring greater harmony into the home may begin planning ways to bring everyone together in love and deeper understanding. There is great potential for healing in relationships, and communicating our hearts and our needs with greater compassion. Deceptions between people may be illuminated, and those who perpetuate them brought to a reckoning with strong words. With Venus and Pluto both retrograde, some may internalize passionate feelings. While possibly frustrating, this may also bring opportunities for deep reflection and inner healing.
Venus in Gemini… If you want to meet new people and learn new things, now's the time! This is also a great time to reconnect with siblings and childhood friends. Those who love to talk, share and find new interests will be in heaven. Those who prefer quiet tho may go quietly nuts. If you are not big on conversation, start thinking up some viable excuses to avoid social gatherings. Venus will be in Gemini til 8/7.
Mars in Cancer… is passionately protective, and may do whatever's necessary to keep loved ones and others in line. With Venus in Gemini, it may be wise to keep gossipy conversation to a minimum unless it's truly important. Lovers who are well connected will be fine, but if one partner is more flighty and the other more emotional, try sticking with the kinds of activities you enjoy doing together, and choose your words carefully.

This is a very powerful time - we are called upon to speak our truth with conviction, and to own the power behind our words. Wherever honesty is lacking - especially within partnerships, marriages and other committed or close relationships, there may be intense struggles - and the truth can become illuminated very quickly. Neptune's energy brings compassion and understanding to those who are clear and aware. Those who perpetuate untruths however may feel confounded, and easily "slip up", or lose their cover. Relationships that go on and on with false pretenses, hidden agendas and denials are sure to be in for a surprise.
The potential to let our minds go further than the everyday reality, and to "see", hear and understand others on a deeper, soul level (beyond mere personality) - without actually speaking - may be getting stronger for many of us.. People who are not open to psychic phenomenon, mind reading, etc. may become paranoid. If you are a sensitive, take great care to be kind and nurturing, and gently reveal the truth to others! They may need to know.

Speaking our minds may be irresistible this week - even if our words arouse controversy, dissent and irritation. As you say what you must, be aware of other's feelings - be as gentle as possible and hold healing intentions in your heart. For those who use the energy constructively and positively this can be a great time for networking, meeting new people, brainstorming and getting things accomplished.
In relationships, the restless can become bored and the hot-headed can cause problems, or up and leave all of a sudden. Some may have unreasonable expectations, or feel stuck and stifled. Think before speaking or making a move, and be conscious of the long term affect of your actions. For those who are sailing smoothly in love, the week can be filled with enthusiastic displays of affection, passion and devotion.

This week the strong Cancer energy is positively influenced by Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius, bringing more power to the idea of World as Family. Some may lean more toward protecting and nurturing immediate family, particularly where education and positive progress are concerned, while others may be inclined to reach out to community with support, hope and optimism. In love, look forward to positive, open communication and high ideals. From the 23rd to the 26th, watch for accidents and/or rash behavior, particularly from those who tend to take risks or are not fully "awake" (= intoxicated or lost/confused!)

Mercury is particularly busy, and this could be an irritating week - especially for people with disagreements or a point to prove, and even more for anyone who is stubborn or inflexible. There may be some extra heated, emotional conversations, perhaps even hurtful words from those who don't think (and feel!) before speaking. On the flipside, some may feel over-amped mentally, or even stifled and unable to speak their minds. This is a very good time to write things out and get thoughts clear before sharing them. If this week proves challenging, remember that Sun is sextile Jupiter (great optimism and good luck!) and Venus is coming into trine with Mars (more ease in relationships) Try keeping it light, humorous and fun if possible!!
Mars in Leo is a tiger who just loves the bubbly energy of Venus in Gemini, as long as she's willing to be quiet for awhile and submit. With Mars in Leo, a bit of chest-puffing, domineering energy may be expected from the male persuasion, and perhaps a demand for independence - yet he keeps family safe from harm, and makes sure that those things that matter most are well attended to.

Whatever havoc may have transpired last week, either mentally or between friends (and others) may be smoothed over quite easily this week. Although Saturn adds a somber tone to the Sun, he also demands that we respect others, and do the right thing - particularly with Jupiter's positive influence. Relationships may sail more smoothly this week, and there is plenty of energy for speaking with morality, compassion and conviction. There is some danger of over-optimism, fanaticism, or confusion... those not firmly grounded or who are not active creatively and/or physically may feel a bit lost. Creative energy abounds!!! Time to create something you've always dreamed of!!.

This can be a very pleasant week for love! If you have very strong feelings for someone special whose love may seem impossible to get, you could get lucky. Sensitivity to others is heightened, and there is an ease in communication - yet also a greater ability to speak with conviction and optimism. Creative efforts can flow smoothly and we may find others who share our dreams.
Get in touch with your true feelings, and be conscious of the feelings of others. Keep it real - it could be easy to get lost or misled. If your dreams are way out of whack or you push too hard, you could lose out big time. Beware of excessive, over-the-top behavior, and be careful in travel, particularly in water.

Feeling the energy? Mars and Venus plug into Pluto's energy powerhouse, bringing potential for grandiose shows of affection. Venus in Gemini is bright and cheery, and adds to the magic and fun. With Sun, Mars and Pluto in fire signs (Leo and Sag), feelings of love may be very lofty, but perhaps compete with any desire for independence - so be sure to let people be free, and be free yourself, too! If you've got someone to share love with, make it count. If you don't, you just might be able to find it. Energy for creative projects is there in plenty, too.
I advise anyone with anger problems to get active both physically and creatively. Internalizing, holding back or projecting at this time could lead to hurting yourself and/or others.

There is potential for making sudden, instant connections with others - and perhaps even bumping into people of influence and power who can offer aid and support in career and/or educational ambitions. On the flipside, one may also experience harsh communication and sudden power struggles. It will be wise to be aware of rules and regulations, and avoid confrontation with authority. Morality can be a big issue this week. Extreme shows of affection in love can lead to long-lasting commitment - love the one you love!

This is a great week for tapping into spiritual, imaginative and healing powers to make a difference in your life and in the world. In love, look for a greater ability to empathize that can lead to connecting on a deeper level.
Very high idealism can lead to tremendous changes. You have the power to make them positive, or indulge yourself and ignore others.. which of course can only lead to negative consequences. Those who wield power can wield more than usual, and those who tend to feel over-powered can get hurt. To avoid being run-over, speak up with honesty and conviction, and believe in yourself!!
Venus in Cancer… on the 7th brings feminine energy closer to home, and a greater focus on nurturing loved ones. With Mars in Leo, organizing and sprucing things up on the home front may be on the agenda. Protective attitudes in love can prompt one to be more restrictive and/or fearful or reclusive. Both painful and joyful memories can resurface. Be sure to treasure what you have, and be thankful for dear ones in your life.

Moving through big changes may be easier or more compelling, even for those who are not normally impulsive or naturally assertive. If you are on a healing journey - in love, in your career or in general, this is a great time to take some giant steps toward getting what you want and need, and also giving to others.
Mars in Virgo... brings increased energy for attending to all the little details in life, and focusing on health and perfection in all things. Some of us may be inclined to fight harder for what is best for family and loved ones!

Great optimism and/or risk taking in relationships can bring quick results... perhaps long lasting love, or instant rejection. The drive to take action may be irresistible to some, yet it could be better to hold back and consider all angles before making a move, or speaking up. Those who tend to be critical might consider taking a little vacation away from people and situations that can be irritating. Another option may be to dig into projects and work to keep one's mind off petty annoyances. If all feels right in your world however... go for it! But do take extra care this week... accidents can happen. Pay attention to the details, but also make sure to look at the bigger picture.

Sudden, fateful meetings may be in the works for some of us this week. The atmosphere favors moving toward committed, serious, family relationships. Long lasting creative alliances may be forged as well. If you have stubbornly held onto a position that does not further harmonious relationships however, you may expect some surprises.
There is an extra cautious quality to this week. If you are already protective toward loved ones, this may feel very familiar. If you have a tendency to let things go or be somewhat irresponsible on the home front or in relationships, you may start noticing little things happening that bring your attention closer to these matters. As Pluto goes direct on the 30th, those changes we've been contemplating may start going into motion.
LONG TERM TRENDS ~
Pluto in Sagittarius speaks of honesty. While Pluto remains here (till 2008!), we are all challenged to be true to ourselves and others, and to accept and nurture the rich diversity of humanity as well as our animal companions on this earth. The world is our family, and those who are not willing to find, or at least look for wisdom from the ages - reflected in many ways through many religions, traditions and philosophies - will surely suffer a crisis of faith.
Neptune in Aquarius (‘til 2012) is helping to set our expressions of love and creativity into positive, innovative motion. A change in the prevailing style in movies, fashion and art will be seen in the months and years to come - probably bringing much more in the realm of the unusual, shocking, rebellious, and inter-cultural.
A long-lasting Quintile between Neptune and Pluto (into 2011) can bring powerful, cosmic changes. For those of us who are very creative, bursts of inspiration can bring influential, explosive, mind-blowing creations. In love, the potential for making inspired changes is heightened - yet there also exists the possibility of getting lost in confusion. Look for healthy, inspired, loving outlets. Get involved in helping others. This is especially important now! Neptune/Pluto brings the possibility of fanaticism which has not been seen since the last such aspect at the beginning of WWII, yet - this aspect is also very positive for creating lasting, humanitarian changes throughout the world.
Uranus entered Pisces on 3/10/03, then retro-ed back into Aquarius 9/16/03 to 12/31/03. In 2004, Uranus will re-enter Pisces and stay in the Sign of the Fish until 2011! Spiritual Revolution you say?? What can we expect with Uranus in Pisces? Perhaps our ideas about death, sacrifice, the fantastic and impossible, transcendence and service to humanity will take some dramatic and innovative turns. We can hope that humanitarianism will take on new meaning and purpose, and that service to others may become a more integral part of our social order. With this placement, Uranus can become reclusive or fanatical. Scientists in hiding may suddenly surface, bringing new and surprising discoveries into our midst, and Political Messiahs may come out of the woodwork. With Uranus and Neptune in mutual reception, they will rely upon each other more than usual, and herald perhaps a renewed and revolutionary (Uranus) vision for humanity (Neptune) The cost may be a certain amount of turmoil and confusion regarding just where we are going for humanity, and will probably not be without conflict.
Chiron in Capricorn... (through most of 2005) brings opportunities to heal within our corporate entities, our governments and our own individual lifetime goals. This will present an opportunity to look carefully at how we fit into society, and how our achievements and /or goals reflect our most sincere desire to make a difference for others. The wounded healer/teacher asks us to share in order to heal…
Saturn is in Cancer (through mid 2005.) Look for a more protective, maternal, nurturing attitude in many areas of our lives - but especially in career, and in the area of life signified by the house where your natal Saturn resides. Tenacity in all things may be expected! A greater focus on home applies to nations as well, and the drive to defend and protect can translate to stronger nationalistic or isolationist tendencies among world powers.
Jupiter in Virgo (through late Sept. 2004) brings a practical focus to our expansive energy. The inclination to analyze, perfect and bring order into our world may be welcome to some, and prove a challenge to others. Hard work and service to others, as well as health and good habit-making can become a moral and spiritual priority. If your head likes detail, this is sure to be a great Jupiter year. If you are sensitive to criticism, or prefer not to look too closely at things, you may find yourself going into hiding for awhile!
